Did you know that their are LJ groups that encourage anorexia? Call me naive but I never realized.
I'm working on fine tuning the old dieting and exercise routine so I thought I search out LJ for some like minded communities and guess what I found? The said thing is there are a huge number of groups like this and the idea that someone would encourage anorexia or bulimia just freaks me out. I had heard abut websites that promoted eating disorders but seeing one in super freaky.
In other news, I'm still in transition looking for a new 9 to 5 and I just started a new semester this week with a class on Legal writing. The coolest part of the class is that I get to look up case law at the Library of Congress.
I LOVE THE LIBRARY OF CONGRESS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The coolness of a library that big amazes me. If fact, its one of the places I'm looking to work.
I also think I found the perfect low residency Master's degree program. The school is the UK but It's a MFA in creative writing and I can write sci-fi, fantasy or magical realism as apart of my fiction work. Most schools focus on literary writing in their programs and frown on genre fiction. But honestly who wants to go to school for 2 years, pay all that money to study a type of writing they aren't 100% into.
The latest job interview was interesting. it's between me an another candidate for the Editorial Assistant position and I'll know for sure what's going on Tuesday when HR guy calls me back after talking to HR girl in the company office. Apparently the company really liked the diversity of my experience and might be considering me for another position. But HR guy thinks that they may be leaning more toward the other candidate for the assistant job. I don't like 'mights' or 'maybes' I just want straight answers. I feel like it would be a cool place to work and I really got a strong impression that they liked me in both interviews. If they like my experience as much as they're saying they do and showed they did in my interview I can't see them letting me go.
