The Healing power of books

Books are very comforting. I spent my lunch hour at Border’s surrounded by books. I feel so much better. Call me crazy but the idea that I can be surrounded by stories and information available at my finger tips for my mind to drink in peace in quiet or accompanied by music is just calming to me. I brought some magazines and a few books and even got a 10 % coupon that I can use the last week of the month. Nothing makes me happier then affordable books.
Sunday, I went to a Henry Rollins spoken word show. It’s the second spoken word show of his that I’ve been to. 3 hours of him on stage just being amazing; it even made up for the fact that I got turned around 3 different times before I got to the venue. The worst part is I did a practice run the week before and that went fine. But I got there, had a kick ass time, and got home without a problem. So I’m going to veg out on spoken word CD’s until I can get home and watch Buffy, Smallville then Kingpin.
Doesn’t he just look like a Hot Animal Machine?
