Okay, so I picked an issue of Punk Planet before my one day shopping trip in NYC and my mind was completely blown. and I was completely inspired for my magazine. Speaking of which I've got a lot of new stuff happening with Escaping Elsewhere. I think the website will be ready in a week and a half maxium. And I finally got my quotes back from the printers on how much it will cost to print this puppy. So of them were nearly heart attack inducing.

For those of you who don't know about publishing printer prices can make or break you. The more it costs to print a magazine the more the magaize will cost the consumer. Unless the magazine is ultra thick or imported from another country you shouldn't have to pay more then $7 for it. Art magazines are a little more because of all the art and photography they publish.

Orginally I wanted the magazine to be 8.5 x 11 (letter size) in size but the best way to go price wise is digest size is 5.5 x 8.5 (about the size of a TV Guide) The company that gave me the best quote wasthe one I had a good feeling about from the beinging. Their website was easy to navigate and had defined all the terminology used in printing. I'm going to contact them for variations on the quote to include color on the cover.
