more birthday and hurricane fun

Wind is howling loudly outside. The kitties are staying really close to me and are staring out the windows worryingly. One of the local weather news casters advised people to sleep on the lower levels of there house if they live in areas with a lot of trees. Since a tree has fallen in my neighbors yard the last 2 years (one year on my house) I'm taking that advice.

The power just flickered off and on. Here we go.
